About Us
Our Story
The Bible tells us in Luke 1:37 that with God, nothing is impossible. The KGC Foundation stands as living proof of this truth, a vision that took 30 years to fulfill, but never once left God's sight.
Where It All Began
In 1996, during one of the most challenging seasons of life, God planted a seed. As a new convert navigating the thickest storms, there was no manual to follow, just a word from Isaiah 61:1-3. That scripture became the foundation of everything KGC would become.
For those who know the heart of this ministry, counselling and caring for people's peace of mind has always been second nature. But this specific vision didn't start yesterday. It began three decades ago with a divine assignment that was tucked away but never forgotten.
The Long Wait
Habakkuk 2 reminds us to "write the vision and make it plain... for the vision is yet for an appointed time." This journey required strength to carry something unseen, vision to believe in something not yet formed, and the discipline to remain faithful even when the appointed time hadn't yet come.
One of the greatest challenges was not knowing when or how this would begin. There were seasons of waiting, seasons of uncertainty, and moments where the path was unclear. But throughout it all, one truth remained constant: God is faithful to His word.
Trained in the School of God
Long before the KGC Foundation had a name, the work of Isaiah 61:1 was already happening. Through the Kingdom Gift Centre shop, people came not just to purchase gifts, but to find support. Conversations turned into care. Care turned into mediation, encouragement, comfort through bereavement, support for mental health, family connection, and gentle signposting back to God.
This is what it means to be trained in the school of God. Life was the classroom. People were the assignment. And love was the qualification.
Formal education came later, but heaven had already been preparing the way. When the time came to wait on God for direction, He gave it, plain, clear, and simple. He brought together the right people, aligned with the heart of this mission, and what had been carried privately for decades was ready to be established publicly.
God's Provision
Jesus once asked His disciples, "When I sent you, did you lack anything?" The answer for KGC Foundation is a resounding no. As soon as the step of faith was taken, the Lord provided the finances, the wisdom, and most importantly, the people.
To the tireless Trustees and everyone who poured their hearts into this vision before it was even "plain on tablets", thank you. A nation perishes without vision, but a vision can struggle without people. The generosity, belief, and commitment shown have been nothing short of miraculous.
A Foundation Built on Faith
Today, all of those years of faithfulness have come together into one foundation:
- A foundation committed to healing relationships, romantic and platonic
- A foundation that provides bereavement support and emotional wellbeing
- A foundation that walks with people through grief and care
- A foundation rooted in community, compassion, and connection
- And above all, a foundation that signposts people back to God
The KGC Foundation stands as a living testimony of Isaiah 61:1 in action, proof that when you remain faithful to the vision, trust God through the waiting, and believe His word, beauty truly does rise from ashes.
Our Mission Today
We are here to be God's outstretched arm in the world. Whether it's through counselling, mediation, bereavement support, or simply offering a listening ear, we're here to walk alongside people in their most difficult moments and remind them that there is hope.
This is not just a launch. It's a legacy of obedience, perseverance, and faith. We are building a house of peace and healing, and there is plenty of room for you.
This is only the beginning.
